Join the City of Hudson on the evening of Friday, November 24, as we come together to kick off the holiday season with the fun filled Ugly Sweater Day awards, Caroling on the Green, and the magical Lighting of the Greens. The celebration begins at 4:30 p.m. on the Gazebo Green.
Celebrating 75 years of the Lighting the Greens tradition, Mayor Jeff Anzevino will hold a brief ceremony to count-down and light up the beautifully decorated trees around the Clocktower and Gazebo greens to welcome in the 2023 holiday season.
We wish a heartfelt special thanks to the Hudson Public Power team and crew, the Lighting Committee of Hudson Community Service Association, Hudson League for Service, and Hudson Community Choruses for all of their hard work and dedication to create this cherished event. Special appreciation is also extended to Joseph and Myong Stribrny and Shawnee Trail Tree Farm for their generous donation of the beautiful Christmas tree in the gazebo.
The event starts with the Ugly Sweater Awards, followed by Caroling on the Green. The official lighting ceremony will take place shortly after the caroling.
