On Saturday, October 22, 2022, Boy Scout Troop 321 assisted with training the new class of EMT students as part of the Hudson EMS Training Program. The training assisted the Scouts with achieving their First Aid Merit Badge.
Scouts were assigned to act the part of injured passengers, while EMTs practiced extricating them from vehicles, treating injuries, and preparing them for transport. The Fall 2022 EMT Class currently has 10 students.
As Assistant Scout Master to Troop 321, Hudson Police Officer Brian Battaglia is hoping to establish a Public Safety Special Achievement Awards Program to encourage Boy Scouts to consider public safety as a profession.
Hudson Troop 321 was founded in 1918 and meets every Thursday night at the Scout Cabin on the southwest green. The Boys Scouts is accepting boys and girls of all ages.
