The City of Hudson is saddened to hear of the passing of former Hudson City Councilman Dr. J. Dan Williams. Dan was a dedicated At-Large council member, a true friend to the City of Hudson, and a person who believed in service to his community.
Dr. Williams began his service with the City as a member of the Park Board in 1998. In 2001, he was elected to City Council as an At-Large Councilman and served until December 2005. In 2011, he was appointed to fill an open At-Large Council seat and went on to serve At-Large until March 2020 when he resigned.
“Dan gave his time, talents, and service to the City of Hudson for many years, and we are heartbroken to hear of his passing,” said Thomas Sheridan, Interim City Manager. “We send our condolences to his wife Laurie, his family, and friends during this difficult time.”
