Construction Updates for Week of 4/18


Annual Asphalt Program Scheduled to Begin April 18

The City’s annual Asphalt Resurfacing Program is scheduled to begin the week of April 18, starting with milling. Motorists will see resurfacing work this year on North Oviatt Street, Church Street, Division Street, Elm Street, and many more. For the full list of streets that will be resurfaced, including an approximate schedule and the specific locations, visit Please note that all dates are subject to change based on weather, contractor delays, or other unforeseen circumstances.

Barlow Community Center Dams Improvement Project Begins Week of April 18

The Barlow Community Center Dams Improvement project is scheduled to begin the week of April 18 with surveying and dewatering. Excavation and dam work is excepted to begin in a couple weeks. The work is scheduled to continue through October. During construction, a section of the walking path with be closed.  Learn more about this project at

E. Streetsboro Water Lateral Replacement Project Begins Monday, April 18

The E. Streetsboro Water Lateral Replacement project is scheduled to begin work on Monday the 18th. The contractor will be boring new water services for the homes on the north side of E. Streetsboro St. between E. Main St. and College St..  The initial work should have minimal to no impact to traffic.  Affected residents have been notified. The contractor will return after school is out to abandon the old 4” water main. 

Skate Park Remains Closed This Weekend for Maintenance

Regular maintenance continues through this weekend on the Skate Park at Veterans Way Park. It is anticipated to reopen next week.
