In August, fifth grader Jessica, along with her friends and family, worked with Hudson Parks to plan a clean up of the Cascade Park waterfall area. Jessica and her classmates first approached Hudson Park Board to point out the need for a clean up with a signed petition in tow. These volunteers then planned a day with staff and worked together to gather all the debris that had accumulated at the base of the Cascade Park waterfall. Their efforts not only took care of the unsightly debris, but also improved the flow of the waterway.
Thank you to all the volunteers who participated, and especially to Jessica and her classmates for making a difference in our community!
