In August, fifth graders Jessica and Lea, along with their friends and family, worked with Hudson Parks to clean up the Cascade Park waterfall area. Jessica and Lea first approached Hudson Park Board to point out the need for a cleanup. Then, a day was planned with staff and volunteers who worked together to gather all the debris accumulated at the base of the waterfall. Their efforts not only took care of the unsightly debris, but also improved the flow of the waterway.
Thank you to all the volunteers who participated, and especially to Jessica, Lea, and their classmates for making a difference in our community!
