At the August 9 meeting, Hudson Planning Commission (PC), in a 3-1 vote, rejected a conditional use request that could have allowed construction of a 16-unit townhome development off Barlow Road just east of Darrow Road. The board felt the proposed density was not consistent with the area, and the design did not mitigate through screening, orientation, and building design.
Also at Monday night’s meeting, Planning Commission approved tree clearing for a medical building project on Seasons Road. Full submittal for the building and site work will be presented at the September PC meeting.
The recent Land Development Code Updates – Agricultural Uses were introduced to Planning Commission. The item was tabled until the September meeting. Most of the discussion centered around beekeeping. Local beekeepers spoke and asked the City to revise the text to be less restrictive and align better with the Ohio Revised Code.
