HUDSON, OH (August 16, 2021) – Art lovers will enjoy Hudson’s newest event, the HUDSONmART, as part of Celebrate Hudson on Sunday, September 5, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the downtown greens. The event features art and creations from local Hudson artists, many of whom have never shown their art before. It is a great time to enjoy tasty food, listen to great music, and support our local artists.
With Art on the Green cancelled this year, the Shop Local/Shop Hudson Team has been dreaming up ideas to encourage people to come out safely and enjoy Hudson. HUDSONmART will be a casual show featuring Hudson residents who may have never had an opportunity to show off their creations.
Local artist Jon Lund with his beautiful graphic arts posters and Tom Armbruster with his handmade stoneware are just a few of the Hudson artists and artisans who will show their creations at HUDSONmART. A variety of items will be on display and available for sale, including hand-painted tables, lamps, vases, small rugs, wall-hangings, pillows, and vinyl records upcycled into wall clocks. Other items include art in many mediums, personalized ornaments / charcuterie boards, greeting cards, candles, and more. Several vendors will have interactive or make and take booths, plus visitors can try out their talents on a podcast.
Visitors can enjoy food from Don Patron and Hudson's Restaurant food trucks. Hershey's, DaisyCakes, and Smyrna Mediterranean Morsels also will have booths offering food for pick up to go.
Stroll the greens, purchase great items from local artists, and listen to the music of twelve different bands that will be playing throughout the day. The City encourages residents to attend these Celebrate Hudson events safely by wearing masks and social distancing when possible.
