Did you know there's a collection container at ACE Hardware where you can donate and recycle your empty aluminum cans for a great cause? This collection supports children through Akron Children's Aluminum Cans for Burned Children program. Please ONLY place bagged aluminum in this container. Metal soup or vegetable-type cans are NOT accepted, but bagged aluminum baking trays and aluminum cat food cans are permitted.

Please note that the City is reliant on the metal hauler that works in partnership with Akron Children's Hospital for emptying of the container. This container fills up quickly and the City has requested more frequent emptying.
