The Hudson Police Department is investigating a series of vehicle thefts and thefts from vehicles that took place in the northwest area of the City during the early morning hours of September 20.
A group of suspects stole a total of five vehicles and rifled through the contents of several other vehicles. Two of the five vehicles were almost immediately abandoned and recovered in Hudson and the remaining three vehicles were later recovered in Cleveland. The suspects targeted unlocked vehicles and utilized keys left inside vehicles.
It is believed these thefts were perpetrated by an organized group of suspects responsible for numerous vehicle thefts throughout Medina, Cuyahoga, and Summit counties. The Hudson Police Department is actively working with other local, state, and federal agencies to identify these suspects.
