At the February 25 Council Workshop, City Engineer Brad Kosco provided an update on the City of Hudson’s upcoming storm water projects that will provide more than $9 million in improvements to Hudson’s storm water system over the next five years. These storm water projects will provide better flood control, water quality, and long-term maintenance improvements to Hudson’s storm water system. Council also discussed at length the proposed Land Development Code Sign Regulation Amendments that will appear on the March 3, 2020 Council meeting agenda for a third reading. Council will vote whether to implement the proposed amendments at that time.
If passed on March 3, the amendments will be the first step towards an updated and improved sign code. Moving forward, the City will monitor how the new amendments affect merchants and will continue to make changes that support the merchants and business community. Council also discussed an ordinance amending the City’s Business Regulation Code to allow licensed mobile food vehicles to operate within 500-feet of a brick and mortar restaurant when the licensed mobile food vehicle is part of an approved temporary special event pursuant to Chapter 872.
