Looking for a way to dispose of household hazardous waste (HHW) such as gasoline, varnish, fluorescent lights, batteries, bathroom cleaners, etc.? ReWorks' Hazardous Waste Recycling Center provides Summit County residents with a free and safe option for recycling these kinds of items. The center opens Thursday, June 6.
Improper disposal of HHW, such as pouring them down the drain, on the ground, into storm sewers, or in some cases putting them out with the regular trash, can pose risks to your health and the environment. To avoid this, drop off items at the Household Hazardous Waste Recycling Center, 1201 Graham Road, Stow, Ohio 44224, from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. every Thursday through the end of September. Please note the Center will not be open on Thursday, July 4, 2019.
