The City of Hudson encourages the public to attend an open house and share their thoughts regarding the proposed stormwater management design for the proposed Downtown Phase II development.
When: Wednesday, March 20, 2019
Time: 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Location: Barlow Community Center
The existing 20-acre site was developed decades ago without the benefit of stormwater management to slow and clean the stormwater runoff. The proposed Downtown Phase II development would treat the stormwater by slowing runoff and filtering the water prior to its discharge into Brandywine Creek.
The concept design includes construction of bio-retention basins with native plantings on a 0.5 acre area east of Morse Road within lands managed by the Western Reserve Land Conservancy under a conservation easement. The final project design will include a multi-purpose trail along Morse Road and informational displays highlighting the stormwater management principles in place and the conservation efforts of the Western Reserve Land Conservancy.
