With Hudson's Merry Mulch Program, residents can set their live Christmas trees by the curb for the City to pick up and process into a natural mulch product. The program runs the week of January 6 through the week of January 20, 2019. To participate, trees should be placed at the curb no later than Sunday, January 6 for the first round of pickup. The last opportunity to set trees out for pick up is Sunday, January 20. Trees will be picked up throughout each week.
After January 20, residents should contact their private trash hauler to arrange for disposal.
The program is limited to Christmas trees. The City does not pick up brush, wreaths, garland, tree limbs, or yard waste.
All plastic bags/wrap, wires, ornaments, garland, and tinsel should be removed from trees prior to placing them curbside. Trees with decorations or plastic will not be picked up as part of this program.
