On Friday, June 8, 2018, Hudson Police Officer Joe McFeely was the recipient of a Top Cop award presented by The Magic of Life Foundation at its Law Enforcement Officer Recognition Gala. Officer McFeely was recognized for his OVI (Operating a Vehicle Impaired) enforcement efforts in 2017. Nine officers from throughout Summit County were recognized and received awards.
The Magic of Life Foundation was founded to provide impaired driving prevention programs with heart, soul and humor for schools, colleges, military bases and court DUI intervention programs. The organization also assists children impacted by drunk driving and awards students who are leaders in their school community that are making smart decisions when it comes to impaired driving and alcohol use.
