The City of Hudson Fire Department will conduct long and short tornado siren tests on Saturday April 7, 2018 between 12:00 and 12:15 p.m. These tests help ensure that our emergency alert system is operational before an emergency strikes.
Sirens are just one of many ways the City communicates during a weather emergency. Residents should not rely solely on the sirens to be alerted. The distance and volume of the sirens can be affected by wind direction, outside noise, and may not be heard when windows are closed or over television or music on higher volumes.
To help ensure residents receive notifications, the Hudson Fire Department recommends individuals sign up for the following emergency alert systems.
