The City will host a Public Open House for the SR 91 North Turn Lane Improvement Project on Thursday, February 15 from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Barlow Community Center. Updates on the project will be presented and project plans will be displayed. No formal presentation will be made. There will be an opportunity for interested parties to submit comments about the project's potential social, economic, and environmental impacts.
Since the April 2016 Public Involvement Meeting, a preferred alternative to widening has been selected, and the project plans and right-of-way requirements have been refined. Right-of-way acquisition is anticipated to begin in 2018 and be completed in 2019. The project is expected to be constructed in 2019-2020.
Information regarding the acquisition timeline, construction schedule, ecological resource studies, cultural resource studies, and the project cost estimate will be available at the meeting. Staff from the City's Engineering Department and MS Consultants, Inc., the project design consultant, will be available to discuss the project and to address any questions or concerns.
