With Hudson’s Merry Mulch Program, January 8 through January 22, 2018, residents can recycle live Christmas trees that will be turned into organic mulch. To participate, trees should be placed at the curb no later than 8 a.m. on Monday, January 8 for the first round of pickup. The last opportunity for tree pick up is 8 a.m. Monday, January 22.
After January 22, residents should contact their private trash hauler to arrange for disposal.
The program is limited to Christmas trees. The City does not pick up brush, wreaths, garland, tree limbs, or yard waste.
All plastic bags/wrap, wires, ornaments, garland, and tinsel should be removed from trees prior to placing them curbside. Trees with decorations or plastic will not be picked up as part of this program.
