Each year, Hudson Public Power (HPP) works hard to transform downtown Hudson into a scene fit for the upcoming holiday season. But the tradition didn’t start out this way.
The holiday lighting tradition began in 1948 with Mary Lou Morse and her friends decorating the trees on the Hudson greens using only step ladders to reach the tops of the trees. Fast forward to 2017 where Hudson Fire Department is now assisting HPP to reach the top of the tallest tree on the green!
