Join Friends of Hudson Parks and Kent State University’s Crooked River Adventures for the annual Pack the Pond celebration on Monday, August 7 from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. at Hudson Springs Park. All are invited to this family-friendly, end-of-summer event. Don’t miss the “Pack the Pond Challenge” where as many watercraft as possible will be on the lake —a great photo opportunity!
Guests are welcome to bring their own boats. Crooked River Adventures will have kayaks and canoes available to try out for free, and will also provide instruction in using a stand-up paddleboard.
Participants will be able to enjoy a cookout, educational programs, and many other activities. You can avoid the lines this year by pre-registering online to reserve a half hour spot on a kayak, paddleboard, or canoe. The rain date is August 14.
