The City will begin its annual sewer lining project this summer. This project targets storm sewers that are in need of repair based on a storm sewer rating system. The lining process will eliminate the risk of sink holes by reinforcing the sewer and will extend the life of the storm sewer without complete replacement. Less maintenance will be required once the lining is complete, reducing costs and increasing safety.
This year, the project involves the lining of approximately 847 feet of 12 inch storm sewer and 510 feet of 18 inch storm sewer along Winterberry Drive, Woodyard Drive, Valerie Lane, Winchell Drive, and Chadbourne Drive.
A functional and efficient storm sewer system is critical to maintaining the flow of stormwater and reducing flooding. To learn more about stormwater and how the City maintains the system, visit our Stormwater Management page.
