On December 6, 2016, Mayor David A. Basil presented a resolution in support of Orkeeswa School in Orkeeswa Village, Tanzania, Africa to the Hudson Middle School Student Council. Student Council selected Orkeeswa School as their world focus and asked the City to partner with them to promote and cultivate support for Orkeeswa School. The Middle School plans a fundraiser for the school in March of 2017. Check the Hudson Schools web page for more information closer to March.
