Did you know the City a highly trained master arborist on staff who can answer questions about tree planting and care? Arborist Tom Munn will schedule private consultations with residents to offer advice on private tree care and determine the overall health of their trees.
Tom works to keep the more than 14,000 trees along Hudson's 350 lane miles and the thousands of trees on hundreds of acres and green space in a safe, healthy condition.
Along with helping out residents and preserving tree health, Tom works with Hudson Public Power to schedule the removal or trimming of trees that are endangering the 100 miles of overhead electrical wires throughout the City.
Trees throughout Hudson are continually monitored by the City arborist. Those that are hazardous, dead, dying, or have storm damage are inventoried for removal. Residents who have questions or concerns about their trees are invited to call the Public Works department to speak with the City arborist at 330-342-1750.
