Construction is continuing on North Main Street with crews beginning daytime construction from State Route 303 to Clinton Street as soon as Monday, September 19. The work on that section is expected to continue through November. This includes all the new sidewalks, roadway, and landscaping from State Route 303 to Clinton Street. Pedestrian traffic will be maintained along the buildings.
Trucks will be detoured away from State Route 91 in the construction area beginning in the next few weeks. A new traffic pattern will be set up tonight, eliminating the left turn lane heading south on State Route 91. Two way traffic will be maintained. All parking from Park Lane to Clinton Street will be closed.
The contractor has completed the nighttime waterline work, with the exception of a few miscellaneous items. In the next two weeks, the contractor will begin cleaning up the area north of Clinton Street to Owen Brown Street, including concrete patching the sidewalks, debris removal, temporary curbing, pavement striping, and roadway patching. Parking will be limited for a few days in this area. The plan is to leave that section until the spring of 2017.
