Fees for the Northeast Ohio Sewer District’s Regional Stormwater Management Program began returning to bills in July, but the Sewer District is hosting informational workshops to help customers learn more about the program and how to apply for residential credits to reduce bills. Through the Sewer District’s stormwater fee credits, customers can reduce their bill by taking steps, such as using a rain barrel, rain gardens, and cisterns, to manage their stormwater runoff.
Hudson residents are encouraged to attend the Summit County area workshop on Tuesday, August 23, 2016 from 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. at Happy Days Lodge in Peninsula at 500 West Streetsboro Street (SR 303).
Hudson’s Green on the Green event on September 17 will be holding two rain barrel workshops. Participants will learn how to make and use a rain barrel, which may be the perfect opportunity for you to get the rain barrel you need to apply for stormwater fee credits. Make sure to attend the NEORSD Workshop on August 23 to learn how to apply for the credit.
The registration form for the rain barrel workshop is available at the link below.
