The City of Hudson provides free citywide pickup of live Christmas trees following the holidays. This is an opportunity for residents to recycle their trees. After pickup, the trees are processed into a natural mulch product.
Trees must be out by January 4 for the first round of pickup and by January 20 for the second round. This program is not intended for removal of brush, tree branches, or live decorations, such as wreaths or garland.
In order to participate in the program, Christmas trees must be free of the following:
Plastic bags/plastic wrap
Trees must be placed in the tree lawn area (the area between the sidewalk and the edge of the street in front of your home) no later than the dates below:

Trees are picked up by quadrants starting in the northwest, moving to the northeast, southwest and last to be picked up will be southeast. The Southeast quadrant may not be picked up until January 18, but they will be picked up if they were placed by the 4th. Second round starts January 20th with quadrants picked up in the same order as the first round. Trees in the Southeast quadrant may not be picked up until January 29, but will be picked up if they were placed on the tree lawn by the 20th.
Please contact your private trash hauler to arrange for tree disposal if the tree cannot be placed on the tree lawn by January 20.
