The City of Hudson provides free citywide pickup of live Christmas trees following the holidays. This is an opportunity for residents to recycle their trees. After pickup, the trees are processed into a natural mulch product.
Trees must be out by January 5 for the first round of pickup and by January 19 for the second round. This program is not intended for removal of brush, tree branches, or live decorations, such as wreaths or garland.
In order to participate in the program, Christmas trees must be free of the following:
• Tree stands
• Plastic bags/plastic wrap
Trees must be placed in the tree lawn area (the area between the sidewalk and the edge of the street in front of your home) no later than the dates below:
Trees Must Be Out By

Trees put out after January 6 will be picked up during the second round. Trees put out after January 20 will not be picked up by the City. This service is provided by a City contractor. Trees will be picked-up during the first or second round. Please contact your private trash hauler to arrange for tree disposal after January 20.
