Fishing at Hudson Springs Park

Hudson Springs Park's lake is approximately 50 acres in size and ranges from about 6 feet to 14 feet in depth. The lake is stocked with fish twice each year, in the spring and fall. Stocked fish include croppy, rainbow trout, blue gill, perch, channel cat, shell cracker, northern pike and walleye.

Hudson residents may fish in the lake at no charge.

Daily Fishing Pass

Non-residents must pay a daily fishing fee ($10) 

Annual Fishing Pass - 2023 annual passes are sold out.

A non-resident may choose to obtain an annual fishing permit by filling out the application and paying the annual $75 fee. The fishing season runs January-January.

Boating at Hudson Springs Park

Hudson Parks rents storage slots to boat owners on an annual basis. The season runs from October-October. The cost for one year is $100. 

Row boats and kayaks are stored on the flat slots. Canoes are stored in the 3 tiered racks. Please call the office to confirm a slot is open for your vessel.

When the $100 fee is paid, the boat owner is assigned a slot. The boat may only be placed in the assigned slot. If your boat slot is occupied, please report that information to the office immediately.

Additional Notes about Fishing & Boating at Hudson Springs Park

  • Ohio Revised Code 15-47: All boats must have life jackets for each passenger.
  • The City of Hudson and the Hudson Park Board are not responsible for lost, vandalized or stolen items.
  • Gasoline motors are not permitted on the lake. Electric motors are permitted.
  • Your stored boat must have a current boat slot rental sticker & an Ohio registration sticker adhered to it or is subject to removal.
  • All non-residents are required to purchase an annual fishing pass to rent a storage slot.
  • No night fishing is permitted. The park closes at dusk.
  • Please remember No Alcoholic Beverages are permitted in Hudson Parks at any time.
