Overview

The City’s Comprehensive Plan is a guiding document, directed by residents and local stakeholders, that guides the community’s vision for the future. The Plan details a long-term vision and policy agenda for important issues in land use, housing, parks, infrastructure, transportation, and more. The Hudson City Charter requires a review and update of the Comprehensive Plan at least once every 10 years.

City Council has established a steering committee of 18 residents to provide primary guidance on the Plan. The committee includes 13 general residents who do not currently serve on other City boards and 5 residents who represent the respective City boards on which they already serve. Additionally, 1 City Council liaison will attend steering committee meetings.

City Council selected OHM Advisors as the planning consultant to assist the City of Hudson with the comprehensive plan. OHM staff will attend steering committee meetings to facilitate workshop exercises and assist the steering committee in guiding the plan. City staff will also attend the meetings and provide assistance as needed.
