Communications

The Communications Department is responsible keeping the residents of Hudson informed abut the actions of the City government. Our mission is to ensure communication between the City and our citizens. The Communications Office is responsible for developing newsletters, brochures, electronic and e-mail communications with citizens, videos, press releases, and other informational materials, as well as managing content on the City’s web site. The Communications manager works with the local and national media, providing information, interviews and acts as a primary spokesperson for the City.


In addition, the Communications Manager responds to public records requests, and coordinates the permitting process and City services provided for special events that are held on public properties in Hudson. For more information, contact the Communications Manager:

Special Events

More than 70 special events are held on public properties in Hudson throughout the year. These events range from 5-K runs, the Home & Garden Tour, and the Ice Cream Social, to the spectacular Taste of Hudson festival event on Labor Day weekend. The Communications Department coordinates the permit process, helps coordinate City services needed for each event, and works with individual event organizers. Public Records Requests

In keeping with the Sunshine Laws, the City of Hudson works diligently to fulfill records requests in a timely manner. Requests for public records should be made through the Communications by completing and returning the following Records Request Form. The form can be returned to Town Hall at 27. E. Main Street, or you can fax the request to Jody Roberts, Communications Manager at 330-342-1628.
