A few construction projects may impact traffic next week. Take a look so you will be prepared for your Monday morning drive.
Tree Removal on Clock Tower Green
A large tree located on the corner of North Main Street and Church Street will be removed on Monday, March 20 after 9 a.m. The diagonal parking on Church Street between N. Main Street and E. Main Street will be closed. Traffic will be maintained, with momentary traffic stops possible. Expect delays in this area.
Traffic Signal at Barlow/Terex
Work will begin on Monday, March 20 to construct a traffic signal at the Barlow Road and Terex Road (West) intersection. Underground work will occur for 2 to 3 weeks. After this work, the signal pole and arm will be manufactured, which will take approximately 3 to 4 months. Once the equipment is available, it will take 2 to 3 weeks to finish the project.
Work will generally occur off the roadway and should not affect traffic. If needed, traffic will be maintained with flaggers. During signal construction, access to driveways may be limited for short amounts of time. Property owners will be notified in advance. Check the project page for updates on the construction schedule.
N. Main Street Improvement Project
Day work will begin next week, with temporary lane shifts, primarily on the east side of North Main Street, between Aurora Street and Owen Brown Street. Two-way traffic will be maintained. Delays may occur during peak hours. For more more information about this project, visit the project page. Main Street stores will continue to be open during construction, so make sure to shop local!
