The City is in the design process with the Environmental Design Group for the new Hudson City Schools Bus Garage and City Salt Storage facilities. The current facilities will be relocated from the Owen Brown Street location in preparation for the new Downtown Phase II development project. The school bus garage and road salt storage structure will be relocated to the City-owned parcel of land located at 5810 Hudson Drive. The Hudson Public Power operation in the same area will be relocated to a temporary facility at 1230 Hudson Drive.
The design work is at the halfway point and will continue for the next couple months. The City is also finishing the environmental studies of the build area and the permitting process so construction can begin as soon as possible. Construction is anticipated to begin in late 2017 or early 2018. Concept drawings and site plans are available on the project page.
