As part of the Connectivity Plan and the proposed Village of Boston Heights to Hudson Trail, the City of Hudson and the Ohio Department of Natural Resources will construct a portion of the Heights to Hudson trail which will consist of a 10 foot wide asphalt trail. The trail is planned for construction in 2017-2018 and will be constructed along Morse Road, from Owen Brown Street to West Prospect Street, and continue along West Prospect Street, from Morse Road to Hines Hill Road.
In 2012, the City of Hudson with the Village of Boston Heights and Ohio & Erie Canalway Coalition completed the Heights to Hudson Trail Plan. During the multiple public meetings for the plan, citizens identified the need to connect their municipalities with the most highly used trails in Summit County - the Hike & Bike Trail & the Towpath trail. In 2013, the City was awarded $301,139 from the State of Ohio’s Clean Ohio Trail Fund for construction of an off-road trail from Hines Hill Road to Owen Brown. This is the second phase of trail constructed as part of this plan.
