The City of Hudson provides free citywide pickup of live Christmas trees following the holidays. This is an opportunity for residents to recycle their trees. After pickup, the trees are processed into a natural mulch product.
Trees must be out by January 10 for the first round of pickup and by January 24 for the second round. This program is not intended for removal of brush, tree branches, or live decorations, such as wreaths or garland.
In order to participate in the program, Christmas trees must be free of the following:
• Tree stands
• Plastic bags/plastic wrap
Trees must be on the tree lawn no later than the dates below:
Trees Must Be Out By
Sunday, January 10
Sunday, January 24
Trees put out after January 10 will be picked up during the second
round. Trees put out after January 24 will not be picked up by the City.
Please contact your private trash hauler to arrange for tree disposal
after January 24.
